East and West Tucson
East Tucson
The newest parts of the city can be found in east Tucson. The area was developed in between the 1950s and 1970s. This region contains Saguaro National Park East, a section of street known as "Restaurant Row" and a shopping center called Park Place.
One of Tucson's most famous neighborhoods can be found near Ft. Lowell Road and Craycroft in east Tucson. Built around the remains of the historic Fort Lowell, this neighborhood was formed by artists in the 1930s. The fort's old adobe buildings were bought and renovated and the entire neighborhood has become an excellent example of southwestern architecture.

Some of the more popular tourist destinations in the area are Sentinel Peak, Old Tucson Studios, Saguaro National Park West, the Arizona-Sonor Desert Museum and the Marriott Starr Pass Resort and Spa.
