Midtown Tucson
Midtown Tucson is one of the oldest parts of the city. There are several attractions worth visiting in this area of Tucson including the Broadway Village shopping center. It was designed by a famous local Tucson architect named Josias Joesler and can be found at the intersection of Country Club Road and Broadway Boulevard.
There are several historical and prominent educational institutions in midtown Tucson. The University of Arizona, started back in 1885, is located in midtown and contains both Arizona Stadium and the McKale Center. In addition to the University of Arizona, the historic Tucson High School can also be found midtown.
The largest park in Tucson, Reid Park, is located in midtown and contains both the Reid Park Zoo and Hi Corbett Field. Midtown Tucson also has Speedway Boulevard which, in the 1970s, was considered the ugliest street in America. Twenty years later it was then named the Arizona Street of the Year.
