North and Northwest Tucson

North Tucson

Most of the area's primary commercial zones, including the Tucson Mall and the Oracle Road Corridor, can be found in North Tucson. There are many expensive restaurants, shops and art galleries in this area of the city as well.

In addition to expensive shopping, many expensive homes as well are in North Tucson in a suburban community called Catalina Foothills. The Catalina Foothills are also home to quite a few of Tucson's major resorts including: the Westin La Paloma Resort, Canyon Ranch Resort, the Hacienda Del Sol, and Loews Ventana Canyon Resort.

Those looking for a free art museum in North Tucson should check out the DeGrazia Gallery in Sun near the corner of Skyline Drive and Swan Road.

Northwest Tucson

Northwest Tucson consists of mostly residential communities that are diverse with rural areas and affluent suburban towns. The town of Casas Adobes is in northwest Tucson and has the distinction of being Tucson's very first suburb.

Aside from these residential communities, many of Tucson's golf courses can be found in this region of the city.
